Specialise in evaluating the predicted environmental concentrations (PEC) of plant protection products in soil. Earn basic knowledge on how to assess PECsoil in the evaluation procedure in Europe. Michael Klein joined the Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology (IME) in 1987 after finishing his degree in Chemistry and retired in August 2022. As a member of various EU-FOCUS working groups he was involved in developing fate guidelines related to pesticides. He has been a member of the EFSA PPR Panel from 2015-2018. He joined the working groups on PEC in soil and FOCUS surface water repair action.
